THE BEGINNING

 In the Spring of 1973 a group of Magicians met at the Y.M.C.A. and formed the “Northshore Magicians Club”.  On August 22nd1974 an application for charter was filed with S.A.M. The charter was granted on March15th 1975

THE EARLY YEARS

The first officers of Assembly 104 were

President: Otto Persson

Vice President: Frank Buslovich

Secretary: Don Daily

Treasurer: Don Konich

Sergeant at Arms: Henry Silsbee

Monthly meetings were held at various locations  including the Salem Sorcerer’s Shop at Salem Willows, the Methodist Church on Lafayette Street in Salem MA, the rehearsal hall of Le Grand David Show at the Cabot Street Cinema in Beverly MA,.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

In 1979 Assembly 104 ran a four day convention headlined by Marco the Magi’s production of Le Grand David and his own spectacular magic company.The convention also included some of the greats in magic such as Al Delage and Margaret, Paul Gertner, General Grant, The Gustafsons, Bob Porter and Jay Marshall.

The convention was widely acclaimed in the Magic Circles and in 1980 it was repeated with now the world’s famous Le Grand David Show as the highlight of the convention, and featured Bob Little, Mark Brandebury, The Gustafasons, Tom and Liz Tucker and  Neil Foster.

The first major award came to Assembly 104 in the Summer of 1979 with the presentation of the Leipzig Bowl at the S.A.M. National Convention.

 The award was presented to the Assembly for the greatest increase in membership from the preceding year.

In 1981, Assembly 104 received Honorable Mentions at the Magic Week competitions.  Also that year the Assembly placed 2nd at the National Convention in Houston , Texas .

In 1982 the Assembly was awarded 1st place at the National Convention in Grand Rapids , Michigan .    

In 1983 once again the Assembly was awarded 1st place at the National Convention in Las Vegas , Nevada .
